Douce Quietude reviews
Douce Quietude, Cote d'Azur, Riviera, France
Our stay at Douce Quiétude in Saint-Raphaël was a classic Côte d'Azur family adventure! It’s tucked away in a beautiful pine forest at the foot of the Esterel Mountains, which makes for a really lovely, shaded setting for a family of five.
A huge win for us was booking a pitch/accommodation through Suncamp that included private sanitary facilities. Having our own clean toilet and a hot shower right on our pitch meant no trekking across the site with three kids and towels in tow!
The water park is fantastic. The huge 50-metre waterslide kept the kids busy for hours, and the fact that the pools are heated was a major plus for early morning swims.
Even though the site is a bit inland (about 5km from the coast), the free shuttle bus to Agay beach made getting to the sea effortless without having to worry about parking.
The kids' clubs and evening shows are high energy. The staff were super friendly, and there’s even a mini-disco for the younger ones and a separate area for the teens.
Just like other French sites, tight trunks are mandatory for the pool. No board shorts allowed! If you forget them, the on-site shop sells them, but they’re definitely a bit pricey.
A tip when booking, steer clear from accommodation close to the pool area as the music from the aqua-gym classes can be quite loud in the mornings. Thankfully our holiday home was on the edge of the campsite with a fantastic view. It's worth doing some homework to find your ideal spot.
Overall we had an fantastic holiday and wouldn't hesitate reccommending Douce Quietude to friends.
