With over 50 years of experience, Suncamp holidays have modern up to date mobile homes and are renowned to specialize in water fun—in fact, every single one of their 400+ selected campsites features a swimming pool, a water park, or is situated right next to a beach or lake. The pitches generally tend be the best across the individual parks in terms of location and are often decorated with greenery and comfortable outdoor lounge seating.
For a class above the rest, Suncamp offer a new concept in camping, 'the Royal lodge'. This is a very spacious and luxurious designer tent specially developed for campers who appreciate style and luxury.
Suncamp caters to all types of holidaymakers by offering traditional camping pitches for your own tent or caravan, alongside luxury rentals. They have heavily invested in their exclusive "SunLodge" range—including luxury safari tents and modern mobile homes like the BigLeaf and Catalpa—which bring glamping to the next level with extras like rain showers, built-in Bluetooth audio systems, and extra-large covered wooden verandas. Their parks are incredibly child-friendly, with on-site staff often available to help with any questions during your stay.
Suncamp offers plenty of extras, but pay close attention to the bed linen situation when booking. While pillows and blankets are usually provided in rental units (though usually no duvets), you often need to bring your own sheets or hire them for an extra fee—it is highly recommended to book linen in advance to avoid disappointment on arrival. If you love cooking outdoors, keep an eye on campsite rules; many sites in high-fire-risk regions strictly prohibit charcoal barbecues, meaning you might have to rely on communal BBQ spots or stick to gas. Also, when selecting a site, remember that southern European campsites tend to have later, louder evening entertainment compared to northern ones, so if you have light sleepers, it's worth requesting a pitch slightly away from the main complex or bar on Suncamp specialist campsites. For multi-tour operator sites, we found Suncamp typically secured pitches away from the noisy entertainment areas.
Whether your budget is big or small, Suncamp caters to all pockets because you can choose between high-end SunLodges or basic, affordable camping accommodation. A major perk of booking with Suncamp is that they charge the same base accommodation rates as the campsites themselves, though they do apply a small service fee of around £21 for handling the arrangements. If you book online and intend to holiday with them again, be sure to take advantage of their 'SunBonus' loyalty scheme, which rewards regular customers with discounts of up to €100 per booking.
A final tip to keep in mind: check-in for accommodations is usually from 4:00 PM, so aim to arrive between 16:00 and 19:00 so your accommodation is fully cleaned and you don't end up waiting around reception with restless kids! Why Siblu - tips and advice
Siblu tell us that their name is French for ‘happy families’ and they're not wrong! So committed are they to great family holidays that most of the holidays parks they feature on, are exclusively theirs, ensuring that Siblu’s high standards are maintained in every aspect of the holiday.
Along with their well maintained parks, they also have outstanding swimming facilities including pools with waterslides and chutes, padding pools for little ones, and some parks with heated indoor pools.
Siblu also run 4 children's club's throughout the summer season that cater from the ages of 1-14. Siblu pride themselves on all their activities and you’ll be glad to know that kids clubs are free.
Accommodation selection on Siblu parks has had considerable investment in the past 2 years with new cabins, mobile homes and updated chalets. Some of the basic range is rather small for a family with 2 children, the mid-high range however have an abundance of space for families of 4 and upwards. Some of their accommodation has no air conditioning, so look out for that in your research, as they can get rather hot in the summer months. The staff on the parks are very friendly with the holiday reps ensuring customers have all their needs catered for.

Why Eurocamp - tips and advice
Almost everyone has heard of Eurocamp, and with good reason! Not only do they offer more choice in more locations than their rivals, but their wealth of knowledge and experience is truly impressive. Eurocamp invested in new mobile homes and tents in 2023 to make outdoor living a luxury. They introduced larger holiday homes and updated 'tents' hand lodges. The holiday reps are very friendly and helpful (we even tested them out on a few awkward scenarios), and they have different kids clubs' for all ages, even for teens!
Eurocamp offer many extras from cots to linen packs. But be careful if you go on a multi park stay, as the linen packs are charged per park, so you may be better off taking your own or buying a cheap set from your local supermarket at home. When choosing a park, be careful to research if the park has the right kids clubs' to suit your family, and bear in mind that many activities on the parks are generally hosted in summer months.
If your only using the accommodation to sleep in, and intend to spend all your time exploring, then you could save money by choosing a more basic accommodation type or book direct through the park which tends to be cheaper. We found that booking a holiday online tends to be cheaper as more offers are available. A good tip to keep in mind when booking, Eurocamp charge a £15 equipment damage waiver fee, or if you don't want to pay that, the website says you can can pay a deposit of £100 on arrival. However we have never known them to take a deposit off anyone, so save yourself the £15!
