Sanguli reviews

We visited in July just before the UK school holidays. Sangulí is often cited as one of the best campsites in Europe, and it lived up to the hype. It’s huge, meticulously clean, and designed specifically to keep kids entertained from dawn until dusk. There are five themed pool complexes. The Africa Pool was the winner for our 9-year-old—it has life-sized animal statues and fantastic slides. The Happy Pool (located by the sports area) also has great "racer" slides that he went on dozens of times. They have a strict "no towels before 11:00 AM" rule, which is a dream for parents who don't want to wake up at 6:00 AM to claim a spot. The site is flat and easy to navigate. The amphitheater is like a professional venue, and the nightly shows (especially the African-themed spectaculars) are genuinely high quality. You are just a 2-minute walk from the promenade and Ponent Beach. It’s a clean, sandy beach with shallow water—perfect for a paddle.

Things to consider: It is a massive resort. Depending on where your lodge is, it can be a 15-minute walk to the main entertainment area. The free WiFi can be patchy in some zones. Also, the on-site supermarket is great for fresh bread but can be pricey for a full shop—head to the larger supermarkets just outside the gate to save money. It is a busy, high-energy site. If you are looking for a quiet, secluded retreat, this isn't it!

We visited a number of touristy places nearby and would reccommend PortAventura World which was s the ultimate day out. Ferrari Land is right next door too. A huge water park in La Pineda. It has a dolphinarium and some of the biggest slides in the region. For something closer by, you can rent bikes on-site and cycle the flat coastal path to Cambrils. It’s much more "authentic" and prettier than Salou for a seafood lunch by the harbor.

This was the first time we had ever been to Salou. We were pleasantly surprised at how clean and well looked after this particular area was and how clean and well looked after campsite Sanguli was too. The campsite is on the coast next to a clean beach. Salou was a 20 minute walk along the beach with numerous restaurants and tapas bars along the way. The campsite had everything you could think of with numerous snack bars dotted around selling ice cream and ice lollies, ideal for the hot days. The campsite also had a modern restaurant which had a varied menu and very nice food. A supermarket and bread shop was also on the campsite. Facilities where plentiful with numerous pools and fun clubs for the kids. Overall it was surprisingly a very good holiday, immaculate campsite and enjoyable location. .

This campsite has everything you’d need on a holiday. Lots of choices for eating and lots of fun activities. Loads of pools and slides as well as organised sports and a beach. Evening entertainment in a large amphitheatre with modern bars and a fancy restaurant that served great food. The campsite is immaculate as well as the accommodation we stayed in. Everything you’d expect from a holiday destination and more. .
